In chess the Queen is most powerful,
And we are queens.
Masters of our own boards,
Arrogant enough to be ignorant to the real motives moving the pieces.
So we went to war.
I am ice and you are fire,
Your temper hot, my cold resolve,
Not caring what pawns we take out in our paths,
What castles and knights we destroy and scorn.
All for the king.
Really just a weak argument neither of us meant to defend this long,
Moving one square in either direction but with no real purpose,
Backwards and forwards,
Penned in by obstacles,
bad intentions and blind fury blocking any clear paths.
